Hanging Your Shingle? Rebuilding Your Coaching Empire? Still in the “One-Day-When-I-Have-Time” Phase?

ree

Whether you're gearing up, leveling up, or stuck in analysis paralysis with 47 open browser tabs, now’s the perfect time to pause and actually design your coaching business instead of duct-taping it together one link at a time.

Here are a few questions worth asking before your dream job starts ghosting you:

1. What kind of client experience are you actually creating?

Is it warm and personal, or sleek and automated? Handwritten notes and Zoom intros—or Stripe buttons and automated email funnels?

Perhaps you prefer a real-time connection: every new client receives a live hello before anything else happens. Or maybe your nervous system—and your clients—like a “click here, pay now, start later” model.

Well said. Your tech and systems should support your client experience and your success.

Is AI the New Coach?

In the last In Between, Michael raised a really great — and timely — question about AI’s role in coaching.

Fortunately (or maybe wonderfully), we’re still at the beginning of this evolving beast. This means we have the opportunity to shape it into a beautiful partnership, rather than something that takes over and turns us all into nonhuman logic processors.

We’re forwarding a session put on by ICF Tennessee titled A quick note: we are not officially endorsing the content (we honestly have no clue what their stance is!) — this is simply an invitation to explore, gather perspectives, and decide for yourselves how you want to relate to this growing conversation.

Thank you, Kristin, for sharing this! I plan to attend myself and would love to see some of you there.

The Fab 5: Actually-Doable Startup Steps

1. A Clear Offer (aka: What You Actually Do)

“If you confuse, you lose.” – Donald Miller

You need:

  • A product or service people actually want (not just one your mom thinks is cute)

Your stories hit home—and occasionally funny bone.

Charge What You are Worth!

Nea said it best the other day when she dropped a “no duh” truth bomb that we all should’ve had tattooed on our forearms by now: You are not starting from scratch.

You’re bringing a whole career’s worth of experience, character, and competence to the table—and now you’re supercharging it with coaching.

That’s not a side hustle. That’s executive suite energy.

So please, for the love of credibility, don’t price yourself like you’re still sorting mail in the basement.

Whether you're coaching in a non-profit, a startup, or a Fortune 500, you are delivering high-value transformation. Price accordingly.

To drive the point home, here’s a mic-drop article worth your time:🔗 3 Major Reasons You Should Raise Your Coaching Prices Immediately

Thank you for posting. I’ve definitely been known to under-monetize my skills from time to time, forgetting I’m not starting from scratch. My new coaching skills are building on my many years of creativity and leadership experience.

The reminder that pricing confidently not only attracts ideal clients but also gives us the means to grow our practice really stuck with me.

“You’re not ‘aspiring.’ You’re evolving.” That one’s going on a sticky note. And this is worth charging for.

Here's to Community & Some Delusional Dreaming!

Thank you to everyone who came and hung out last night! The questions, comments, insights, and shared experiences were pure gold. I left feeling so energized and inspired, I may have outdone the Queen from Alice in Wonderland—she believed in six impossible things before breakfast… I believed in seven this morning!!!

Special shoutout to Hannah’s “Delusional Dreaming” concept—officially coined. I’m running with it. And inviting you to do the same.

Lean into what might seem nonsensical now. Because with belief and bold energy behind it, that so-called “delusion” might just become your next brilliant reality.

Keep dreaming weird. Keep going big.
