Great timing — the University of Minnesota just released some helpful info on how to get started.
University of Minnesota Targeted Business Directory
The U of M partners with both small and large suppliers to support its mission of teaching, research, and community service. With such a wide range of needs, the university purchases nearly everything imaginable throughout the year.
Their Targeted Business Directory helps departments connect directly with BIPOC-owned, women-owned, and disability-owned businesses.
To be listed, vendors must be certified by at least one of the following agencies:
National Minority Supplier Development Council, Inc. (NMSDC)
Service-Disabled Veteran Small Business Certification (VetCert)
