About the event
2026 The Year of the Rabbit Hole —
A Yearlong Journey into Narrative & the Committed Ways of Being

The Year of the Rabbit Hole is a 12-month exploration into the stories that shape us — and the Committed Ways of Being that help us find our way when certainty runs out. Each month, we’ll work with one CWB as a living compass: not to fix people, but to gently orient us back to what’s true, human, and grounded.
Because where the map ends…the Committed Ways of Being become your compass.
This is a year of narrative awareness — one lens, one conversation, one story at a time.
Expect clarity without pressure. Depth without drama. And the steady relief that comes from seeing the story at work — and realizing you still get a say in how it unfolds.
Check out the exciting journey ahead...2026 CALENDAR BELOW —Register for all 12, earn 24 CCEs, and save $90! All sessions will be online — with Feb 11, Apr 8, Jun 10, Aug 12, Oct 14, and Dec 9 also available in person for those who miss actual chairs, eye contact, and shared snacks. (Friends who feel the nudge to tag along are welcome at no cost —we simply ask for an email so they don’t wander off without the details.)
JANUARY 10, 2026
So… Who’s Actually Writing This Part?: How Narrative Messes With Us (and Makes Us Whole)
We like to think logic is steering — but most days, story has the wheel.
January peeks under the hood to see what’s really driving your choices…
and how the Committed Ways of Being hand the pen back to you.
Saturday, January 10, 10–12 (ONLINE)
FEBRUARY 11, 2026
Be Awake: Attune to the Music Within the Noise
Listen for what hums beneath the static. Notice how the noise swells, tempting you to tune out.
Stay long enough to hear how the interference sharpens the signal —
the station that’s been trying to reach you all along.
This session invites you to stay present long enough to notice what usually gets dismissed as background interference. We’ll explore how the “noise” in your life may actually be the truest signal you’re receiving — and what becomes possible when you stop tuning yourself out.
Wednesday, February 11, 4:30–6:30 (IN-PERSON or ONLINE)
MARCH 7, 2026
Be Aware: Pick Presence as Your Compass
Notice the thoughts and feelings — yours and theirs — and trust the moment has something to offer. Linger even when nothing adds up. Stay when the old story mutters, “this will never change,” and something quieter whispers, “stay anyway.” We’ll slow the story down so awareness can catch up — noticing how reflexive certainty narrows your field of vision. This session helps you build the capacity to stay with what’s unfolding, rather than racing to the interpretation that feels safest. Saturday, March 7, 10-12 (ONLINE) —and see what you’ve been overlooking.
APRIL 8, 2026
Be Grateful-ish: Let What’s True Expand What’s Possible
Stand with what matters — even when disappointment or bad timing tries to cloud it. Trust that holding what’s worthwhile gives you grit to move through what is… or the guts to walk away from what isn’t. Stay steady until the fog thins and the outline of what’s possible emerges.
Gratitude doesn’t require pretending everything is fine — in fact, it deepens when it can coexist with disappointment, frustration, and loss. Together we’ll explore how meaning grows when gratitude tells the truth… instead of trying to wallpaper over it.
Wednesday, April 8, 4:30-6:30 (IN-PERSON or ONLINE) — gratitude, without the pretending.
MAY 2, 2026
Be Curious: Wonder Like It’s Your Job
Hold a childlike curiosity. See the awe in what’s happening — not just its usefulness. Lead with wonder instead of certainty. Let curiosity pull you toward doorways you didn’t know were there.
Curiosity melts rigidity. This session helps you set certainty aside long enough to let fresh perception arrive — the kind that opens doors you didn’t even know were in the hallway. Expect questions. Expect surprise. Expect possibility.
Saturday, May 2, 10-12 (ONLINE) — curiosity encouraged, answers optional.
JUNE 10, 2026
Be Trustworthy: Hold Stories as Sacred — Including Your Own
Be the caretaker of stories — yours and others. Let storytellers remain their own author, actor, and agent. Honor the wisdom an old story carried — then loosen your hold when it no longer fits.
Trust deepens when stories are honored — and grows again when we recognize it’s time to loosen our grip. We’ll explore how to respect the story that shaped you… without letting it dictate the one you still want to live.
Wednesday, June 10, 4:30-6:30 IN-PERSON or ONLINE — hold stories loosely(especially yours).
JULY 11, 2026
Be Candid: Trust Truth to Tame the Story You’re Caught In
Name what’s true without turning it into a performance. Let the messyparts show up — free of polish, perfection, and pretense. Say the thing —not as a weapon, not as a show — simply as truth. This session isn’t about being blunt — it’s about being real. We’ll explore what shifts when the story is told without polish or performance — and how truth, spoken with steadiness, often dissolves pressure faster than perfection ever could. Saturday, July 11, 10-12 ONLINE—give the real story the mic.
AUGUST 12, 2026
Be Own-It-Ready: Claim Responsibility Before the Story Claims You
Notice what keeps tugging at you — the thing you wanted, declared complete, avoided, or buried for later. Resist the urge to disengage or delegate control to someone else’s story.
When you don’t claim authorship, the story will happily assign you a role — often not the one you’d choose. We’ll explore the quiet, fiercely empowering act of stepping back into responsibility — not as blame, but as freedom.
Wednesday, August 12, 4:30-6:30IN-PERSON or ONLINE — reclaim your role in the plot.
SEPTEMBER 12, 2026
Be Prepared: Anchor Within When the Plan Wanders Off
Ready yourself — and when the uninvited arrive, don’t flinch. Stay grounded. Lean on your inner sources when the outer world wobbles. Preparation isn’t about eliminating uncertainty — it’s about knowing who you are when uncertainty arrives. This session helps you cultivate inner steadiness so you can respond with clarity instead of control when the script inevitably rewrites itself. Saturday, September 12, 10-12 ONLINE —bring your plan…and your flexibility.
OCTOBER 14, 2026
Be Flexible: Move With the Moment Before It Becomes “The Moment”
Keep sight of where you’re headed — even when the route reroutes itself.
Shift pace. Change angles. Redraw the map when needed.
Flexibility doesn’t erase direction — it keeps it alive. We’ll explore how staying responsive allows you to keep choosing the story you actually want to live… even when the route refuses to behave.
Wednesday, October 14, 4:30-6:30 IN-PERSON or ONLINE —and discover the gift of the pivot.
NOVEMBER 7, 2026
Be Bold: Dare to Risk What You Risk by Staying Unseen
Step forward — even while your knees shake. Let your actions carry conviction.
Show your real self instead of rehearsing the version most likely to be approved.
Boldness isn’t about theatrics — it’s about allowing yourself to be seen where it matters. We’ll explore the tension between safety and authenticity, and the quiet relief that arrives when your inner and outer life finally match.
Saturday, November 7, 10-12 (ONLINE) — your voice is invited.
